No! Not illegal ones!
The missis has a stack of spare IVF drugs that are a complete course, she's tried giving them back to the hospital/docs but none bother to get back.
So, is it legal to sell these on eBay? I can't think why they can't but don't want a swat team visiting.
BTW, all paid for (big time) and are sealed blah.

Hello
They are prescription drugs and can't be sold. However should you need some help after having to participate in the program with the IVF you can buy some "herbal" enhancements there...

OK, am I allowed to give them away????
As mentioned, hospital doesn't want them. We've paid a fortune for the 2 rounds of IVF (one little lad 15 months and next due - touch wood - 31st Dec) and know that in some areas, such as ours, you have to pay and the drugs are about a third of the cost.
It would be great to help someone out.

I know it sounds stupid to just throw away perfectly good drugs, but that is how it works
Take them to a chemist to dispose of them properly.
Drugs can have all sorts of side effects, which is why they are controlled and dispensed by "prescription only". Batches also need to be carefully controlled in case of recalls etc.
For you to "dispense" them yourself is perhaps threatning someone elses fertility/health, and aside from being unethical, is also highly illegal.
...I know it feels "wrong", but then so are the millions of tonnes of perfectly good food thrown away by supermarkets every year just because of a "sell by date" on the packaging. This food could be perfectly well used by the needy/starving, but because of legal issues, supermarkets can't & won't.

Remember also that the monetary value (or rather, production costs) of the drugs themselves is probably pretty low. The high price of drugs is due to the drugs companies recovering their development costs.
Think of it like the physical cost of a CD versus the cost of the music on it (something you can perhaps relate to!).

Ho hum. Glad I asked
BTW, it's a real wind up queueing up to write out a near 3 grand cheque (twice!) when the 4 people in front are getting their bus fares paid to them knowing that at least one of them is getting the same treatment for free

However, whilst not any consolation for you, the NHS are trying to sort things out in this respect to make it fairer (and free-er!) for everyone.

Just think, you could have spent all that money, and still be sprogless.
