I've got a few big kites and have flown in some hairy winds but I've NEVER seen anything like that. Can't imagine what was going through his mind as he went higher and higher.

i went out in my buggy in a storm once, took my 2m blade.....thing dragged me from by buggy and 300yards across a field when i lost control and the kite went into a spin (blade 2 spins quite fast in a storm!)
