New mobile, which handset?
About to start a new contract, will get a choice of free phones.

LG L1100
Motorola V220
Motorola V500
Motorola V600
Nokia 3510i
Nokia 5140
Nokia 6230
Nokia 6600
Nokia 6610i
Nokia 7610 (+£99.99)
Orange SPV C500
Orange SPV E200
SPV M1000 (+£249.99)
Sagem myX-7
Samsung E700
Samsung E800
Sony Ericsson K700i
Sony Ericsson P900 (+199.99)
Sony Ericsson T610
Have running very boring serches through e-bay to find out which I can sell for the most.
So...
Can anyone recomend a easy/high value phone to get (sell)?
Or a site where handset prices are listed?
CheeRS.

I've got a T610. Great phone and after a year still works perfectly, no joystick problems. However there's the updated T630 or even better the K700 which is the dogs danglies. SE's are in demand so I'm led to believe so should have no problems selling.

I am due up for a new phone as well and have the P800 i was thinking of the P900 but is there any thing else worth getting or waiting for as i use the e-mail all the time and web browsing occasionally and the calender with Outlook on my PC and Contacts on my PC? I use to use Nokia's all the time but happy enough with the P800 apart from poor reliability.
I am with Orange but had loads of bad experences with them this year so was thinking of O2 or T-Mobile as i use about 500 Mins Xnetwork and 5M Data Via GPRS a month. Most of the Talk time is off peak but the GPRS is during work time.

Re: SonyEricsson's: Poor battery life on the K700. P900 just been updated to P910i Rubbish screen on the T610 when you compare it to T630/Z600. I'm an SE man btw, just some of their offerings have been a little incomplete of late. Take the S700, no Memory Stick Pro support and not far off the price of the P910. A shame as it looks really nice.
Treo is a nice piece of kit but no built-in Bluetooth and only a 160x160 screen. An updated version is on the way with 320x320 and BT.
SPV = Windows Smartphone. No thanks!
Nokia = Every bugger has one.
Moto, LG, Sagem don't know that much about.
Depends on whether you want a phone or something which will cook the tea for you whilst calculating the weather for the next 2 weeks
PS. Yes I am a phone snob

Sony/ericsson K700 i had for 1 day before i returned it to orange (14 day return option on upgrades)
Battery life was terrible, and it just made the simplest tasks a chore- particuarly if you are used to nokias
6230 is top of the tree at the moment and will remain there for some time, so get another one of those and sell one- still going for strong money on ebay

I'd say 6230, I had one for 3 months before it stopped working but with my contract (singlepoint4u-o2) all Nokia's come with a 1yr manufacture warranty whereas all other makes just 3 months. I've always had Nokia's but the 6230 was 10x better than my old 6100. Will still be a demand for them and should be easier to shift

Just upgraded from SE T610 - which I was very happy with...although it seemed to scratch easily. Now got a K700i and it's fantastic. The ability to use Mp3's as ringtones has huge possibilty!
Much better screen and camera on K700, has radio and MP3 player and a good amount of memory. Feels a little bulky compared to T610 but is not actually much bigger at all (maybe 1 or 2mm thicker)
Only had it a few days so haven;t really tested battery life yet. I've had to recharge once but it wasn't completly flat...and I had been testing all the features!
The biggest annoyance for me is there is a pause when you answer a call....I always have to say 'hello' twice because the first one isn't heard!
Having Iron Maiden's The Trooper for a ring tone is great though!

I'm just about to return my four day old Orange SPV C500 and swap it for a Nokia 6230. In comparison even to my old Nokia 6100 the C500 is a complete pain to use. It's very clever and can do all sorts of things but you have to press 3 buttons to do what the nokia can do in one.
Oh and the dial 1 for answerphone messages doesn't work and it takes ages to connect to the internet. I've been waiting for Orange to call me with a solution since Wednesday!
The reason why 'Every Bugger' has a Nokia is that they are damn good phones.

Looks like it's gonna be the Nokia 6230, checked out e-bay and there's 10 odd completed sales pages of them selling for £200+...which is nice.
Just hoping demand is still high when mine goes for sale.
Thanks for the help!

p900 is a lot better the the 800, but still abit big for a phone / pda.
The k700i is really nice, if you are used to nokias it does take a bit of getting used to, you have to no the shortcuts and dont use the main menu and it is very easy and quick to use, if you use the menu's it is a chore.
I would go for the k700i every time has a good camera and good lens as well if you like pictures.

yep agreed OF, Ive got a 6310i and I often wander in to phone shops and just get surrounded by gimmicky phones and struggle to find anything that would be a worthy successor so I just keep mine, its amazing my 6310i, I can dial numbers to speak to people and occassionally it emits a ringing tone that lets me know someone is calling!

Yes i have a 6310i as my works phone very easy to use and very reliable. But no good for e-mails or surfing which i use my P800 more for when i am out than any thing else. i like the fact that i can chat to friends by e-mail where ever i am. still makes phone calls as well so got the best of both worlds.

i am looking at the Motorola A925 PDA phone on the Three network. Three seems to have much better call deals than Orange at the moment and the A925 looks like a good highly functional phone, if a bit bulky, but i am not going to find a phone as small as my T39m which has been brilliant for 2 years.

I had thought about joining Three but i have had friends on it about 6 months ago and they all left as they said the coverage was terrible and it constantly dropped calls during conversations and if you go out of Three's own coverage and roam on to O2's newtwork your call charges go up? seems strange o i know they cant provide good network coverage so you have to pay more but that was the contract end of last year.
I had thought of the SPV500 similar in what it can do to the P900 i think. Like every thing until you use it for a while you dont know how good it is hence asking on here incase any body has these hand sets?
