what's your best lap time around the 1200m cicuit? went for my first time the other evening and had a real blast and my best was 51.272.
not trying to say i'm the next schumacher or anything, just trying to gauge how ****e i am and what an average lap for an average abilty driver is, to give me a target to aim for next time i go

suppose it's like trying to break into the next second on the 1/4 mile, constantly trying to do better. should be fun trying

hoskip, you're beginning to exhibit some of the danger signs I warned you about
Comparing times is very difficult except on the day (like rolling roads, really). And every corporate kart I've ever sat in has varied from poor to utter ****e. "They're all the same, Sir." Are they bollx!
Even in identical kit your time will vary day to day, and even hour by hour. And then there's that little thing called set-up, the black art that is the difference between winning and being lapped.
Go to a proper race meeting and see what goes on in the pits - there will be a lot of people very busy with spanners, a lot of swearing and shouting, some crying. Parc ferme after a race is an entertaining place to watch bare knuckle fighting. It's almost always fathers of the junior drivers. Not joking
If I was starting again (it was my son who did the driving) I'd do enduros with a small team of mates. Those guys always seem to have more fun that grief, share the cost, get the girls to man the BBQ, that sort of thing

gonna get a team of buddies together for an endurance race soon, see how the lap times go then i suppose.
totally agree with what you say about set ups, in the 2nd session i was in the kart my mate had and it felt so much different. a bit more understeery but felt a bit more settled around the high speed corners. maybe my imagination, or maybe it was my raw racing talent coming thru( ) yeah right that got me better times.
just had such a blast, i can't wait to do it again.
