Default Why is there never any "good news"

I'm getting a bit pssied off with all the nasty things going on in the community. . . . carjackings, bricks @ roofs, etc etc etc

Is nothing "good" happening anymore?

It's depressing. . . . it's getting like the US where the bad news is used to feed paranioa - which inturn promotes Gun ownership & "Home defence" industry. (broad statement)

Because it's always the wrong people who buy them - chavs have houses to protect as well, as do most crims.

And those of us who know how to shoot properly also know that most people are for more likely to kill themselves or a loved one than any intruder: it a LOT harder to shoot than it looks in movies.
