Driving along today behind a pug 306 diesel, not tailgating or anything. He slows a little (still doing circa 20+mph 30 limit) and pulls along near to the pavement and waving me on past him, not really room to overtake and there's patchy oncoming traffic. He then floors it as I assume he thinks I'm going to overtake him (I'm much closer to the middle of the road). I know he floors it due to the cloud that I'm engulfed in and increased speed.

Only thing I can think of is just past where he waved me on there is a fixed speed camera, so by enticing me to overtake him then accelerating whilst I am overtaking (thereby increasing my speed to a much higher one in order to overtake) when he's still doing near 30 mph I'll then be speeding and get caught by the camera.
