We've been to the Maldives several times but this one blew us away last year - seaplane from Male to the resort which is in the SW corner of the atolls - it's so cool it even had it's own 'island time' to maximise the daylight.
Gorgeous rooms (4 poster bed, private beach, TV, CD player, all mahogany etc), with private beach (beach huts better here than the more expensive sea huts). all just as on their website with top class diving - many of the dive sites are not visited too often (unlike many of the resorts nearer to Male) and the staff can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable, right from the moment they collect you in Male right up until you leave the Maldives.

We went to Meedhuparu for our honeymoon- a completely All Inclusive Island - has scuba diving, health spa thingy, tennis courts (too hot), canoes... but not much else.
It is a TINY island - 30 mins to walk round and a 45 minute seaplane ride from Male.
Most people sit around the bar - we had the whole north side of the island to ourselves most days - truly beautiful, peaceful... lovely.
Brought back some wonderful memories of that island and (we) would recommend to anyone.

we went there last december, cant remeber the proper name for the island but goes under fun island, fantastic, not one of the up market resorts but first time for us and it was excellent, boat to and from, all inclusive - except for your room (bungalow), no rats or crawlies, get gone
