Default Gis a job!

Hmmm, prediction came true yesterday when my company finally decided that they weren't making enough ( any? ) money from their recently won contract, on the grounds that they weren't getting the pre-arranged amount of work that had been agreed back in October. Upshot of this, they hand back contract, we get shown the door! Could be worse, at least for me, as I don't have to find work immediately, and have enough going on for a couple of months to keep me occupied. However, come the end of September, I'm gonna be looking again.....if anyone in Hampshire works for a company which is looking for a decorator with experience in insurance work and who can provide glowing supporting references from three previous employers, I may be able to end their search! Thanks in advance ( or not, if this gets no replies ).

Yes, but can you afford my hideously over-inflated prices ( time and a half for travelling from Southampton!!!!!!!!! ), and my gluttonous thirst for tradesman strength tea? If we can overcome these potential minefield sized pitfalls, you may have a deal! . Tbh, this turn of events has fallen at quite a good time....got planning permission for the extension on my place approved on Friday, and was just wondering where I was going to find the time to start it.....got it now, whether I want it or not!
Seriously though, if you want your place doing, get in touch....I'll try not to scare you off with my unreasonable, prima donna style behaviour, and ' think of a telephone number and double it ' ott quotes!

Time to go it alone mate. Get a good company name e.g. Hampshire Designs/Interiors/ and a nice silver van.

Mart, yeah, tbh I'd forgotten about Mansells, as it happens, they're ( were ? ) located in Eastleigh, I think, which isn't at all far from me....might get the chance to have a word in there tomorrow, so thanks for that. Workshy, can't face the self employed route mate, I've got to be able to ' step off ' at five 'o clock, and I don't think I could do that if I was working for myself.....excellent username, btw! . Thanks for the replies!
