DAYTONA Karting - Milton Keynes
As part of my Stag Weekend a group of 12 of us are off to Daytona in a couple of weeks. Has anybody been and would care to offer any insider track knowledge?? I think we are doing an hour and a half race in teams of 2. I've no idea how many karts they run at one time, types of Kart etc. etc.
Any info. would be most helpfull.
Thanks.

The left hander after the long straight is flat out all the way round with just enought space to straighten up before you brake for the next corner. The left hand bend by the pit exit is flat out as well. Take care on the bottom left before the straight, easy to get wrong.

I did it a last year ago, brilliant!! They told us if you clip the kerb, to come and get the kart checked out. I did this and had to wait about 3 mins for someone to check the kart out. We came second overall by about 5 seconds so obviously with the 3mins wasted we would have cleaned up. If you do hit something, just keep going and let them flag you in, they always come over quickly then.

Thanks for the info. guys.
What are the Karts like, speed etc. etc. How many Karts were used in the races you did?? I am guessing that each team must carry out a mandatory number of pitstops during the race?
Any more info.?

They're pro-karts which are ok once you get going but the art is in being smooth & not scrubing off too much speed as they take so long to accelerate.
The Daytona tracks are pretty good & you'll have a great time no matter what

We had a Scoobynet "private" session there - how long ago now? Must be 2 or 3 years!
Great fun!
Anybody remember one of my wife's work mates who did a "Driving Miss Daisy" impression?
