No idea and I struggle with this a lot!! When I play poker I often find myself thinking about other things or, if playing online, surfing the net! My game would be even better if I could give it my full attention

have a cup a tea, biscuits, snacks etc. on your desk and just get stuck in and ignore other stuff.

i'm terrible at trying to discipline myself. i find it can help to try and break things up into small chunks. ie. "i will write one more page, and then spend 10 minutes surfing SN, or have a cup of tea, or whatever" then set another goal - say 30 minutes of uninterupted work before a "treat" of some kind.

i'm supposed to be writing a document myself - but can't be bothered. too hung over. just ahve to do it on tomorrow.

as above, scoobynet can be a serious time waster at work. If you work from home it must be even worse

ebay is better at work, SN in the evenings

We resorted to stealing my mates remote and ariel so she would get her essay done, and it just about worked. I also tend to unplug my network connection to stop that distracting me.

I'm finding music helps just now Especially The Clash -- Rock the Casbah

I can't disconnect from the net - I would if I could - because I'm working on a site.

It would help if I was remotely interested in what I'm doing right now. This is making me hate my job!!! Barstewards!

I just imagine what would happen if I didn't keep my concentration - 9 months of hell followed by the pitter patter of tiny feet - works for me

I don't work from home for just that reason - too many distractions. Not much help I'm afraid.

I often listen to music with headphones at work though.

Bonkers.
