Default Eeek - Toyota Avensis (I think) at Knockhill

Hmm.....so, amongst the normal bunch of Elises, Esprits, Imprezas, Evos, TVRs, etc etc, someone decides to take their nice 4dr Toyota saloon out on the track.....WHY?

Wink Why not

Exactly, it's probably his company car, therefore guaranteed to be driven harder than anything else....

Can't you see the castor wheels on the wing mirrors?

The day after it was a quick trip into Kwik Fit or National Tyres for new rubber all round please - FOC

I suppose you have to take your pleasure where you can find it.

I used to love doing 4 wheel drifts in my Dad's Morris 8 series E, when he wasn't watching of course!

You can have just as much fun in std saloons on a track, probably more fun tbh than 4wd Jap machines

That's not extreme for Knockhill - I've seen a Roller, complete with flowers still on the rear parcel shelf, and a brown old shape Metro 1.3 Automatic at Knockhill trackdays

The boy in the Roller was giving people the royal wave as he barrelled it out of the hairpin!

Laugh? I nearly sh@t!

The sad thing that most people don't realise on here despite the fact it gets said time and time again is that a tidy driver in the Avensis would see off many other drivers in Scoobies. It's the driver that makes the most difference not the car.

Maybe a rental, we had a touring car driver or two at mondello,in rental avensis "learning" the track, put alot of performance cars to shame, shows what a real driver can do with limited performance...
