Whats it got to do with political corectness? Political corectness involves avoiding words or expressions that can be percieved as insulting groups or marginalised people.
The name John Lennon airport does make me squirm a little don't know why really, but again it's nothing to do with political corectness.

My deepest sympathy goes to the family of the man who was murdered there today. All for the sake of some scum who wanted to knick his car.[img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]
Can you imagine how his wife feels, looking forward to a well earned break in the sun. Walking away to collect a trolley, as her husband unloads the cases. Then looking on as your husband is run over and killed by his own car.

Interestingly the BBC report referred to the loacation as Liverpool Airport. Good.
