a load of drugs if this mornings debacle is anything to go by!
I completed my online self assessment for tax returns (that was a joke in itself!) and decided to phone up and ask about if I am entitled to any tax benefit for child maintenance.
The answer given to me was just an absolute joke! The only people entitled to tax benfit for child maintenance are those people born before 1935!!!! :O
So let me get this straight that would make them 68 years old or older. Child maintenance is only payable upto the age of 18 so at the youngest if the child was say 17 and they were still paying then they would have had to have had their kid aged 51 or older!!!
I can not believe there is one ******* person in this country thats fits that criteria, 68 years old or older and paying child maintenance!!!!
The Government have uncategorically confirmed their insanity to me today with this piece of information
RIP OFF BRITAIN YET AGAIN (as a claimed benefit exists but the circumstances/requirements to claim are beyond a joke)

Very sure! I asked the bloke how many applicants they have for that benefit and he understood where I was coming from and basically agreed it was a waste of time.
Its also on the forms which is why I phoned up because I thought it was a misprint saying born befor 1935!!! I pay maintenance and a lot of it and was hoping it would be legible for some sort of tax benefit - fat chance!

You really haven't understood poor Tony. I fear some poor spin doctor in Labour Party HQ will get the sack now.
If you look closely at most government policies, you will see that if they promise to give you anything then they will either make it impossible to claim or make it not worth the bother.
I'll give you an example.
The government claims to be tough on crime. It has given most Police Forces lots of money. What it doesn't say is that most of that money HAS to be spent on pointless bureacracy. i.e. they give you £10 million, but when it boils down to it you are left with £150k to actually spend on crime fighting!!!
It's the same with the NHS, Schools etc.
SPIN - the languge of furkin lies.
