Weekend in Monaco? It's very cheap to get there and stay at this time of year and it's a fabby place.

thought of all that and yes we will be going out for meal etc etc,

The Witchery in Edinburgh regularly finds it's way onto list of most romantic hotels in world. Went there on 1st night after my wedding. Quite steep though.

I came home of Friday night to find the husband had taken the afternoon off work (secretly) and filled the lounge with candles and cooked me my favourite meal with my favourite bottle of wine 
Didn't cost much but it was fantastic
...probably really embarrassed him as well, so anyone who knows him you've got to promise me you won't take the ****
