Yep - glad they bought it up. And 'advised' people not to sign the NIP.
BTW What was the VR6 'reggae' tune?

We have a few 110 TDi Landies at work and one Toyota Hi-Lux. The Toyota gets loads more abuse because its a pick-up and anything gets chucked in it. Most of our vehicles milage is off road and the Landies are always throwing drive shafts, universal joints, steering boxes or steering hubs etc.
The Hi-Lux has done 130000 miles 95% on rough ground or off road and it drives like new, although it looks a complete heap inside and out from 3 years of abuse.
Mechanically they are virtually unbreakale.

When we go off roading there's always a few Toyota Hi-lux's there being driven to death
Normally they are used as service vehicles to the land-rovers that they tow there!
Only thing that gets them stuck off-road is the wheelbase and overhang at the back - easily sorted with the grinder (I'm yet to see a "bob-tail" toyota )
I was well impressed that it survived underwater for 5-hours

If you go out to the Gulf or Australia where they have some of the most inhospitable terrain in the world, the vehicles of choice are toyota Hi-Lux or Landcruisers. Land Rover is a dirty word
