Superb early 80's lunchtime soap based on courtroom exposition of a single case each week. Third rate actors hamming it up as rottweiler barristers, with a deadly serious narrator clearing up the loose ends and sentencing at the end of each episode. Priceless.

Is it on UK Gold or video?

Thumbs up

Yep! Especially liked the episodes where the judge put the old black cloth thing on his head. Then you *knew* the suspect was in a bit of bother!!

Occaionally they'd push the boat out and have a particularly riveting case spread over 2 or maybe even 3 episodes!

In such cases an episode would invariably end immediately after Counsel had delivered a killer question, so you had to tune in tomorrow to see how the witness answered it!

Amazing - I thouht that was real. Didn't know it was just another soap The theme tune was quite distinctive - something I heard so often as a kid but now can barely remember.
