Question

What's an estimated cost of Bupa cover for me, a non smoking 22 year old male?

Does it come recommended, or are there alternatives?

Don't know about costs, but my firm has recently moved its healthcare package from BUPA to PPP Healthcare. No idea about comparisons, but know my cheapskate employers it's probably to save money.

Rik

Depends on which level of cover you apply for.

Speak to BUPA Helpline on 0800 60 05 00.

Be careful that they quote you for the best cover (some benefits do not cover post surgery expenses).

I think the corporate level is Company Care Gold - and you may want to the personal equivalent.

I can 100% recommend BUPA as they have paid out many thousands of pounds for my mum's very serious illness.

Not quite free. It's a benefit, so there's a tax liability

As a private practice manager I would advise against BUPA and PPP.

Get quotes from people like WPA, BCWA and the many other smaller companies. They are hungrier, pay out more quickly and have better customer care all in my opinion of course.

RobinSherwood - crap!

I have PPP cover and they're fecking tops at paying out and although they might be a bit more expensive (not always) than BCWA they were actually cheaper for my kids!
