Has anyone any experience of the above - I've just bought a second one on hols and stuck it in the bedroom but it doesn't seem to be reading correctly. All the "*****" are down at the bottom supposedly meaning it's over 26°C but a normal thermometer next to it is showing 24-ish. The other one I've got is showing the temp OK relative to the alcohol thermometer.

I wondered whether being jiggled about on the way back might have "unsettled" it but it hasn't righted itself overnight / stationary

unless the bedroom's hot and steamy and the other two are reading wrong... (yeah, right ))
