Its where Parisian business men take their mistresses for a grubby weekend. Consequently full of excellent bistros and clothes shops. Very very chic. Your wife will seriously hammer the credit cards
Lovely place and will be back there in August.
Not flown there yet JL, but will be in August

Pete forgot to mention just south at Abbeyville there is a great track to take the scoob on as well. I think there was a video going around of the owners son rolling his car....
Though last year 8/9 of us went away for the weekend and it was stunning, fresh fish, lobsters (actually languistines), prime time steaks, great beer..........

aaahhh, I have fond memories of Le Touquet, my friends dad had a nice little house down there and we went down for the summer many years ago, just before he sold the place, so we totally trashed it, very nearly trashed his 928 that he foolishly left in the garage, but that's another story Lovely place, not exactly the most inexpensive place on earth, but oh those beaches, lots of fun in the dunes

Hotel Westminster is the best in town and they do some excellent 3 day breaks.

hotel westminster is indeed very nice, they were fully booked though, stayed at the grand hotel instead, holiday inn is decent but not in the same league as the westminster. http://www.grandhotelletouquet.com

What's it like there met? I'm off on Friday for a golfing weekend (my stag weekend also ) so what's the nightlife like.
Oh, will be taking the Scoob so I'll keep an eye out for those disapproving looks

ive not played out there so dont know the courses, been there three times on short breaks though, for a stag weekend you cant beat blackpool imho
the main drag has several decent bars & pubs, jeans bar is like a sports bar type thing with loads of different ales, the globe trotter is a decent bar too, there a couple of pubs down near the Paris PLage restaurant, to be honest though the frenh locals & holiday makers dont realy tolerate drunkeness to be carefull the police arent the the most friendly or understanding of large groups of lads & ale, as long as you behave the food is quality if you like seafood go to the Paris Plage or Perrards opposite the GLobe Trotter & theres tonnes of decent beers to be sampled, with the exchange rate fcuked at the moment though it aing going to be a cheap night out! are you staying at the red fox?

We've got two course in three days, one of which is Belle Dunne, the other is Wimereaux. As I understand it, Wimereaux is a links course and can be extremely difficult if there's too much wind. The guy who's organised it says there's a couple of holes over 600 yard holes . That'll be about 10 to the green then
Thanks for the comments met - I'll ensure there's no drunkeness then
I'll let you know how I get on.

Just come back and a fantastic weekend was had by all!
Played at Wimereux on Friday (links course - tres windy!) then La Belle Dunne on saturday. The latter being one of the nicest courses I've ever played on.
Le Touquet was a nice little town but no chicks whatsoever . The fact that they were all male is an indication of how popular the golf courses are!
Did see one other scoob (see Was It You) and certainly got a lot of attention to my scoob (people pointing and occasionally giving me the w*nker sign )
Whilst I've never been keen on the French, their driving on the A roads is very considerate! Our M25 users could learn a few things from then!
