Question

Does it have to be a transfer via bank account or can someone pick it up?

You could do a money transfer via somewhere like Thomas Cook. There is a fee to pay (unsure of how much) and it takes 10 minutes to "arrive" at the destination.

Go into your bank and do an international money mover payment (BACS/CHAPS transfer). Trouble is they will charge you £10.00 admin fee on top of the amount you are sending.

I'm going out to Oz in 4 weeks, could maybe deliver it personally

Cool

Ah I see, just tell the awkward bugger to do it another way.

Last time I looked the Aussie dollar was worth around 40p which is the highest it has been for a while. All good for me. Keep rising I say!!! (Will make trips back to the UK a shed load easier on the pocket!!!!)

Second the comment on CHAPS transfer, tis what I'm doing here, either transferring from my UK acccount to Canadian one (and getting a nice suprise when it reaches it's destination ) also going to do it the other way, *shudder* exchange rates, *shudder*

I see no reason why Western Union wonnt convert from £££ to AUS $$$$
They will charge a handling fee anyway. Paypal is easier though, and a bit safer I think.
Does the purchase price of what you are buying include postage???
