Are wheelies illegal ?

talking on public roads, well public race tracks like Sutton one-way system

just wondered cos some no hoper said he is going to report me for doing a wheel stand so guess he meant wheelie.

was not out of control when doing, but it did shock 17 tonnes of brown stuff out of me, never managed to do one before, the ******* just hooked up & boom I was gone :0

Few yards later the front dropped back down to earth with a good old thump, stopped to check everything was OK, fillings, pants etc when this no hoper had a go about it.

Still very happy at doing my 1st wheelie

yes illegal(dangerous or undue care and attention), however its your word against his so you are probably OK, unless he is a policeman.

Just kick him in the nuts

I should imagine you'd get about 7 years hard labour for popping a wheelie One way out of it might be to deny having a license, MOT and insurance, if that doesn't work try convincing them that you stole the bike

Good luck

Cops could charge you and will read you the riot act about dangerous driving and being a danger to the public .
Bearing in mind the front "steering" wheel is off the ground,it could be classed as out of control.
Still looks cool though

The specific offence is failing to maintain a proper control of the vehicle, with Dangerous driving and careless driving as a back up to or in addition to that offence.

It is quite specific in that no proof is needed that the rider was a bike handling god, the fact that the front wheel was up in the air (unless by accident) is sufficient to secure a conviction.
