Constantly worried something is not quite right with it,handling strange/engine running badly etc.etc. and regularly taking it to the garage to be looked at, and spending loads of money on fettling and replacing parts for no real reason?

I had this with my old integrale, (but then again the symptoms might have been real given Italian quality control!)

I'm always thinking i can hear dodgy noises on the car (even when i had a brandnew one..).

My favourite one though, is imagining the steering feels funny and my shocks are about to die..

I had that with my old jag, however it was normally cos something actually was busted. My lancias are full of rattles and odd noises but it goes with the character of the car! normally im too busy concentrating on that glorious twin cam rasp with just the whine of the supercharger on top of it. (And the rattly tappets and crunch of a destroyed second gear synchro!)

I had a Lancia Aurelia GT once-very fast but only slightly better than a VW beetle round corners.

I am always listening for noises in the car, luckily this one has been ok so far.

My mate's like that with his Beamer.. so annoying. The top end sounds a bit rattly (120k miles) and he's on about getting the cylinder head rebuilt. The car's practically worthless anyway
