Depends on what you want out of an honeymoon but we went to sandals st lucia for our honeymoon and it was very nice, also we have been to barbados which was ok but they are both getting very commercialised now.
Forget everthing /phones,newspapers,tv and go for an all inclusive to the MALDIVES.
This is the best holiday or honeymoon you will ever have honest.

Hmmm My honeymoon was just over a year ago...
three days in hong kong
three days in singapore
two days in Bangkok
two weeks in Wau Hin in thialand
all half board
All organised through BA holidays
All where 5 star plus hotels (6 star in singapore )
went with their economy plus which gave me the extra legroom..
got upgraded to Business class all the way by mentioning when checking in that it was our honeymoon
All for the magic sum of £2100 each.. (it was december)

I can thoroughly recommend Dubai, was there just after 9/11 and it was a wonderfull place. Stayed with family but it is a great place to visit.
I would love to go to the Maldives for my honeymoon though but I think it too is becoming commercialised.

Also getting wed in July, and just trying to sort the honeymoon now.
We are doing 1 week NYC, then 1 week somewhere else in America. All depends on this war business though

We went to Thailand this Christmas for ours. Absolutely fantastic, provided you expect that it is a highly organised (and thus not unspoilt) but developing (so nowhere near perfect) country.

How about something different - we did a tour of Scotland on our honeymoon. We liked it so much we've moved up here and now live about 2 miles from one of the hotels we stayed in.
Remember - in 5 years' time when you've got kids and debts you won't be able to have a second honeymoon in Mauritius, but you could go back and relive the honeymoon in Scotland.

I'm getting married in June and was considering Singapore, Bangkok, Maldives route. We decided against it and are now going to San Francisco for 3 nights, driving down the coast to LA, spending 3 nights there and then flying to Tahiti for 2 nights and then staying in Bora Bora for a week.
The only thing against the Maldives/Seychelles was that it isn't the best season in June/July, it would spoil it a bit if the beaches are covered in seaweed and its windy. Also I had personal reasons why Singapore/Thailand and asia in general wouldn't be *special* enough for something like a honeymoon.
if your interested in theSouth Pacific, drop me a mail found a good company (I hope!) with reasonable (!) prices for the area.
You'll have a great time whereever you go, so enjoy it!
Cheers
Richard
