Places for honeymoon and where to book?
#1
I was thinking of doing this : http://www.santabanta.com/newsmaker....name=Newsmaker
but seems a bit costly.
We are looking at a 3 week honeymoon.
One idea we thought of was two weeks in Hawaii, then the last week in Las Vegas. We have been to Las Vegas before, but I have no idea on Hawaii, where are good places to stay, and more importably book? and do we get any perks as "honeymooners"?
Also, can anyone recommend any other destinations, which we may not have thought of?

How about renting a Tuscan Villa? Its about £1500-£1900 a week for a nice one but you'll get your own private pool and gardens, views to die for and possibly a pool table, gym and games room if you choose the right one.

I'm taking the missus to the Maldives in May.
There will be no more than 15 couples on this particular island, and for the suite we have, we get an entire stretch of beach for just the 2 of us.. plus an outdoor jacuzzi and all that.

You could always try Antigua. I went there for my Honeymoon and stayed at Blue Waters hotel. It's the best hotel I have ever been to and funds permitting will be going back there soon.

Thanks - will take a look at the places suggested. However we don't want just a beach as we would that that boring. Don't get me wrong, we like to sunbath, but also like to do stuff as well. Hence the idea of going to las vegas on the way back. I could quite happily spend 3weeks in las vegas, but she isn't to keen on that!

Mate at work went to Hawaii on honeymoon and loved it, very kitsch but fun.
I went to Maldives last year and Seychelles this year.
Maldives: stunning beaches, but not much else to do if you don't like diving. If you do like diving the Maldives are among best in the world. Tourist Islands, and 'locals' islands are completely seperate.
Seychelles: Also stunning beaches (including the one from the bounty adverts). Islands are much larger, and you can actually go to areas which aren't exclusively for tourist. Lots of wildlife/birds/giant tortoises type stuff, bit of historical stuff.
Booked both through Kuoni, and would recommend either. If flying to Maldives go by Emirates.
Also depends what time of year you are going at, several suggestions above re NZ, June 2004 England rugby team touring New Zealand, which may mean prices up, and good hotels in shorter supply. June/July 2005 British Lions in NZ, similar problem but on grander scale.
