Yes, I was flashed and have received the 'Notice of Intended Prosecution'. This is my first speeding offence in 8 years, currently have a clean license (until now)...
I have heard of ways of avoiding / delaying the process which then results in 'getting away with it'. I have been told to fill out something on the form incorrectly and when it gets returned fill out something incorrectly again etc.etc. After 6 months apparently they cannot 'do you'.
Has anyone had any experience in this field?
Are there any sure ways of getting around this?
Any information would be appreciated...
Thanks
Mark
ps. Looking at buying a snooper. Was looking at the S5 but have been told that Bell Euro models are much much better.. any comments / recommendation ???

Latest theory, and I am sure there was a thread on here about it, is to complete the NIP but not sign it. That way you are complying with the need to coomplete the form, but it can't be used in evidence.
Think the case received publicity on Thursday or Friday of last week.

Do you know what the process would be if I did forget to sign the form, after filling it out correctly?
Do I get another form sent in the post?
Do I hope this gets lost in their internal systems?
Do I get invitied to go to court (afterall it was an accident that I forgot to sign the form)?
Thanks
Mark.

I don't have the link to hand, but basically if you don't sign it (and signing it IS optional) then it can't be used in evidence. Regardless of whether it goes to court or not.
The other thing was if it goes to court, plead not guilty.
There was talk of the police going down the "pervting the course of justice" route, but the website seemed to think they would be on very shakey ground. You don't have to sign the form, but you return it just as requested.
We'll have to see i think, if I only this happened 3 months ago!
