This morning I was traveling to a meeting at our office in croydon and I witnessed a very bad car accident virtually next to me

I was at a turn left filter by a motor cycle shop and as I filtered left a micra came down my right hand side and across the road It hit a renault laguna coming down the hill I was heading up the noise was massive

I looked back in my rear view mirror before turning round to go back to see the guy leap out of the destroyed micra and run up to the renault and start punching at the window

By this point I was out of my car and running down the hill and I called the police.

Then I realised the guy was still in the renault and someone from the bikeshop was holding his neck in place

WTF was that all that about?

I think the micra may have been wrong but I wasn't 100% sure which car ran the red lights.

But to run up and try and punch a window in when the guy was in trouble?

Luckily some people dragged him away because I was mad and wouldn't like to have to got to him first [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

What would you have done?

The door was open You could see it in his body language, that's why I didn't want to get to him first because I could have been wrong

It sounds like you were in Purley - were you going up the Purley Way?
The motor bike shop on the corner is quite big (top of Russell Hill Parade) and the owner is a regular to scoobynet (but can't remember his name!).

Might be actually him actually!
I used to live in Purley and there's been loads of accidents both there, and a few hundred metres down the hill where Tesco's is.

I hate driving round that area I always have to watch everything there are cameras everywhere and people driving badly.

Paul - yes it was me involved - the guy from the Micra tried to have a go at the guy in the Laguna who was motionless so I "sorted" him out of the way
I then helped the guy in the laguna by supporting his neck til the Ambulance crews arrived.
Are you a potential witness Paul? Surrey police are very interested if you are.

Yes I saw it happen and stopped. Mail me offline or give me a call on 07811 328196. I wish I would have known you were there I was one of the guys who called the police. I was in the silver puma. The guy in the micra acted like a loon from what I saw
