I've never built an athlon b4, always used intel in the past, but finally took the plunge and am regretting it large style.

Bought a kit from scan comprising 1.2 athlon chip, 266 fsb mobo, 512 ram.
Can i get the bugger running ? Can i hell.
It runs ok at 900mhz even playing games etc, but ramp it up anymore or increase the fsb to the correct 133 multiplier and it wont even boot.
Have had three different bios versions from the mobo manufacturer no change from the above.
Have read lots of sites telling me to try things and still no change from the above.

any ideas ?

Kit is as follows :-

Approved amd 300 watt power supply (upgraded the one in the scan case as someone suggested it was that)
abit kt7a raid board.
athlon 1200 (133)
512mb ram (133)
ibm 75 gig drive
Elsa gladiac ultra agp card.

KT7 uses the KT133 chipset from VIA which is supposed to be a damn stable platform.

Here's TomsHardware take on the board:

What version of the bios you running? My problems went away with the ZT version.
