as the title says.... i have to go from there to there and be at a village near Stanstead for 8pm.
as i NEVER use Mways in rush hour and have never been in heavy trafffic on the M25 before...what can i expect? Multimap says 1hr 20 but will i hit traffic at that time and hw long will it delay me?
any jam experts?

If you are really lucky you will do it in 1 hour (I did slough to stanstead in aboot 45 mins at 5am) - I would bet on it been 2 hours if you are doing it during rush hour

Do you mean Stansted as in airport, as opposed to Stanstead as in Abbots or other places?
Even if there are no problems, 80 mins is a bit optimistic. The M11 can be a pig and there are several sets of roadworks, particularly at J8 which is presumably where you will get off.
I shall be passing through several villages close to Stansted around 7ish, give us a wave

Well, I've being doing High Wycombe to Cambs a couple of times & its taken under 2 hrs, leaving @ 17:30 (& economode )
I would suggest cutting across to the M40 @ High Wycombe (J8/9 M4) as it saves M25/M4 junction & that bit of the M25, which can be poo.
Prob a bit stop/start upto the M1, then poss again near A1(M) but the roadworks on M25 should be finished now? No r/works @ M11 anymore.
Can't comment on getting out of Reading

I'd give it 2 - 2/12 hrs - I tried to do the exact opposite commute (from Stansted to Reading) on a weekday am M11-M25-M4 and it took nearly three hours - but traffic should be lighter later in the day. All depends on the traffic....

Also, nasty long roadworks on m25 at about jct 22 at the moment - can take half an hour to get through those alone if its busy.
