Hmm, 149.95 at Richer... bit pricy as it'll see little use. How about a Tosh SD110?

The Scan one does look nice, but she might take it personally if its an 'unknown' brand! Sony or something would prob go down better

go to www.leconcepts.co.uk and have a look at the little pioneer (I forget what model it is 350 I think). They charge about £110 and it's very good. I have got one as a stop gap until prog scan TV's are available or I can afford a plazma as my old one gave up on me. For the money the picture is great and so is the sound.

My old Pionner cost me about £400 about 3 years ago and this one is just much better in terms of picture and sound.

Si

www.homecinemaheaven.com

Best place on the net to start. Loads of special offers and they have well-priced multi-region players too.

One of the best there is the Pioneer DV-350. Comes in silver too...

Try www.techtronics.com as a supplier. Not sure what they've got in your price range but I've got a Tosh 220SE from them and their knowledge, service, quality and price is excellent. Don't work for them - just a very satisfied customer, etc, etc...
