yup
3 times,
once with the tartan army !!!!!
great place, not as good as it used to be, starting to get very "westernised" pardon the pun.
beer is still relatively cheap, not like it used to be , food is great, lot of "would you like a quickie sir" around but still great place
great atmosphere, lovely girls , if its sunny they all come out in pairs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went on a stag weekend 18 months or so ago. Was a good weekend, beer very cheap, and lots of it.
Some very dodgy shows to go, which leave nothing to the imagination!

They have also just had a monumental flooding and most of the City Centre is buggered. Beer is cheap and strong and people reasonably friendly. I'd check out the state of the town before I booked anything. Our office there is still not up and running.

I went a few years back and here's what i found:
Beer: 9-14p a pint
****: 1 quid a pack
Slags: 10 quid will get you anything. And they're tasty.
I think that covers everything!

Prague was very good except that we were probably robbed. A very clever scam: we were walking in a park; one young man comes up to us, map in hand and asks us the way; almost immediately two others brandishing police badges accuse the other and us of changing money illegally. Want to see his I.D. and his money which he shows them. Want to see our passports, and then my money in wallet. It was our last day and I have 1200 crowns left and £45. He takes my wallet, takes the money out, looks at it and gives it back. OK thats fine he says. Just be careful. When we get home I have only 200 crowns. Can't believe how skillful the thief was. We just couldn't see it. But you wouldn't argue with a plain clothes policeman in a Police State, even in the acknowledged mugging capital of Europe, would you?
Looking back, they were all in it together. I have heard of exactly this trick happening to others. I think the only thing to do is not take much money around. 1000 crowns is about £22

I was there for 3 weeks in June and it was fantastic. Yeah, you might get robbed or mugged, but it's no worse than any other major city. I never felt threatened at all and that included walking around at 2am on the way back to the Hotel from a good night out.
Beer is *VERY* cheap if you hit the right spots. If you pick a cafe around the old square then prepare to pay over the odds. Food is also very cheap, but avoid the main touristy bits.
I'd strongly recommend U Flecku; great place for a party and the dark beer is to die for.
They used to have very hot summers and very cold winters, but like most places things are getting milder and wetter. I'm going back before XMas, so have been keeping an eye on the weather. Looks like is just like here, 11-13 degrees C and rainy
My Dad's Czech and half my family are from there, so I'm a bit biased. Get over there as soon as, you'll not regret it.
Stefan
P.S. The only words you'll need are pivo and dekuji (beer and thank you)
