I think I can do better than that. ages ago when I saw the webpage while looking for info on faraday cages of all things !!
anyway it was a jet engine fuelled by propane and some how it cooled your beer. very funny site, will search for it tomorrow as pulling power is on and I want to go to bed

yeah that's good, no doubt, 
but couldn't we make some kind of mod that would monitor the in *in glass* temp of the beer, and also the *beer remaining* situation. Ideally, this would be linked to some kind of electric stimulator on the wife's b*tt, reminding her to trot off to the kitchen/off licence as required for more supplies.

It's from the Oregon Scientific range of weather monitoring instruments (although will be perfectly happy as a beer fridge monitor ) Always fancied splashing out of one of those weather monitoring stations - you can see the full range here - good for gadget freaks like me

Yes Mice but its a drafty house,
and the gagget is for any where in the house and you can get remotes for it too.
So ladys it don't have to be in the fridge try in the bed room when hes in the mood.
