central heating question
#1
every morning my central heating starts up and makes a terible racket, banging and gurgling consistently. The radiators and hot water are fine, it's the noise that's driving me mad.
Is there an easy/cheap way to fix this?

You tried bleeding everything.. might be trapped air. Central heating in my old flat used to leak and needed bled regularly otherwise it made right racket.

what sort of boiler is it?
type of system?
sometimes the small header tank goes dry, have a look in the loft and see if its full.
could be your pump on the way out and not shifting the heat from the boiler fast enough.
could be the thermostat on the boiler,it might have lost its calibaration and is turning off at a much higher temperature.
could be a blockage in one of the pipes near the boiler,or the feed from the tank may be blocked,so this cant put water back into the system.
are the rads upstairs still full of water??.
if all is well with the system you can get some liquid stuff that you put into the f+e tank(you have to drain the system)Fernox is good, other companies make similar products.
Check those things first and see what you find.
