20th anniversary of 9/11.....
I cannot get my head around the fact that this awful attack was 20 years ago, i remember where i was/what i was doing and who i was with.
ive spent the last week or so watching and reading all about it as i find it really interesting (not in a morbid way)
can you believe that the scrap steel from the buildings was sold to china and india, 50,000 tonnes i think. ironically it was used to make a trade center
i guess no matter what happens........cash will always be king
the day the world changed forever..........

i highly recommend the new documentary on nat geo called one day in america, its 5 or 6 parts long and is without doubt the best 9/11 program ive ever seen.
without sounding awful some of them can be a little boring but this really throws you deep into that day through the stories/eyes and footage of survivors and 1st responders. it has never before seen footage and is very very interesting.

I think it's always worth reminding people on threads like this that thanks to the wonders of the Internet and Youtube videos, there are now (in absolute numerical terms) more believers in flat-Earthism than at any other point in human history.

Not quite true
US/UK (& China) armed/supported the Mujahideen to fight the Soviet invasion, in support of a communist leaning government. After they defeated the Soviets and the regime fell, the Taliban grew out of the political infighting & then took control in 1996.
