In a couple of weeks i will be travelling to Spain for a few days and ive just noticed that my passport runs out in the middle of July. Is it correct that i dont need a minimum time left on my passport for travel within the EU? I return when the passport has aprox 6 weeks left.

Its more the airport staff in this country you will have to worry about, they are the ones that will stop you if it doesn't have 6 month left. I would check that you can travel to Spain with so little left as I know you can for the USA.

Just renewed my daughters did forms online printed off what needed signing, had them signed mailed first class had passport back in 1 week done... Great service

I will double check, i know for USA etc you need 6 months but for Spain im thinking as long as its in date im fine.

You can have 1 week left on your return to the USA and your passport is still good. They have an arrangement with lots of countries and the UK is one but if British passport staff complain?


I know this as I had to check as we went to the USA for Christmas and my daughter didn't have 6 months left so I was worried until I found out it was ok.
