Just had some dodgy geezer at the door asking about our bills with Scottish Power, we arent with Scottish Power!! When my mom told him that Dad deals with it all he started getting cagey and when asked for a contact number told us "well i suppose you could look us up in the yellow pages".

He claimed it was to do with the government causing over charging and they were having to investigate it.

He had ID but what use is that.

He didnt go to the house next door (some crap fiat), or the one the other side (crap rover), however he did go over to the house over the road which has a porsche.

Worrying? Too right!

BE AWARES!!

I think it best if my car doesnt stay at home for a few nites!

Andy

I bet your glad he didnt get a chance to check your house out
Have you got your idle problem sorted?
If not, perhaps you could leave it at the scooby dealers and kill
two birds with one stone.
Make sure you just happen to have a few bats/hammers kept within
arms reach for a few days
Have you been down the cop shop and reported it?
Good luck

they sorted out the problem by changing my MAF!! When they had reset the ECU it had forgotten how to compensate for a knackered MAF.

Brake light fuse is blowing again though, so it's back in on Friday!!!

Andy, paranoia comes with having the car m8...

last saturday i was polishing my rear calipers(shut it fizz) lol when sum random guy pulls up in an estate car i`d never seen b4 and asks me if i know where the Chateau Impney is.
The Chateau is about 10 feckin mile away and i`m in the middle of a housing estate in a cul de sac!
well i get the wheel back on the motor and as the said paranoia is running amock i`m off to the local constabulary.
the guy at the desk was very understanding and took details and vehicle reg of the dodgy geezer.
so i return home and about an hour later the SAME guy drives into the cul de sac and out again...tell me i did the wrong thing here but i jumped in the scoob and chased after him!!
well i actually lost him as a drip in a van pulled out infront of me and sat there at 21 mph.
i returned home and as there were a few peeps out enjoying the sun, i informed them of what was going on.
minutes later the dodgy guy drives down the street AGAIN and as he pulls down the street 1 of my neighbours tells me that he is actually a brother of sum1 in the street lmao!!
i then decided to approach him and inform him that i`d been down the nik and reported him.
turns out he`s looking for his brother and wife who have gone to the Chateau for a meal!! oopsa daisy lol.
well, as he drives away up the street 1 of my neighbours who is a fiesty character anyway, jumps infront of the bloke and starts having a go at him!! lol obviously didn`t know he was a brother of our neighbour too.
well i s`pose the moral of the story is to have yer wits about you but be prepared if you take action cuz all may not be as it seems.
Wayne.

Scottish Power have confirmed:

a) it was not one of their representatives
b) they wouldn't do that
c) they would have our details on file if they were supplying us
d) they would already KNOW how much we pay per unit.

They have taken our postcode and our informing the cops.

Thing is i saw the blokes dont a couple of roads away tonight...
