Default Show us yer HID conversions.

I am particularly interested in how the beam is spread.

I read everywhere how good these are (mainly from the people who sell them! ). So what are they actually like to drive with, on Hi and Low beams?

Is anyone prepared to show us what you have bought?

Even better would be a photo of how the beam looks, say against a flat wall, a picture of how they look on the road, where you bought them from, and how much £..

Lets have our own proper review..

Dan.

not a true answer to your question - single projector retrofit (dipped beam) into existing headlight housing. well pleased with the results.

now working on this:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...etrofit002.jpg

twin projector retrofit - one for high beam & one for low beam. just need to get them mounted & aligned.

Blimey, you've been busy there. Perfect beam pattern, but that's to be expected with projectors.

This is the benchmark the H4 HID kits have to match IMO.

How much was your kit and what manufacturer are they? Can you edit your post so when all the photos are in we'll be able to see which manufacturer is best and which are the best value.

Don't have any beam pics so can only tell you how i find them, dipped beam is brighter although i mainly drive in well lit areas so don't notice a big difference, i set them up using a wall so the beam pattern was correct, had 2 MOT's since then and no problems

Main beam is bright to say the least, find a unlit road and put main beam on and it's like daylight

I got the HID's from BOB'5 and would recommend them as they are easy to fit and value for money

Granby,

Unless you post up some pic's it is only your opinion. How are we supposed to make up our own minds with just hearsay to go on?

Pic's first please, your opinions after.

The whole point of this thread is to get rid of the hearsay that surrounds HID kits. If your kit is as great as you say then post up some pictures and let us make our own opinion.

Well I consider myself well and truly told off here then... I apologise if anyone has taken my comments to heart. I am no keyboard ninja!!

My point with the HID kits is this. All to often we hear people saying how amazing these kits are and yet nobody is ever willing to show the results properly, thanks to those couple of people who were willing. My comments are not supposed to be horrid in any way at all.

Myself and a lot of other people I suspect would like to see the actual results rather than opinions. If these kits 'do' work as well as the sellers say then lets see the results.

Fair play t'ya.

TBH i don't think lights are the easiest thing to take pictures of, seems to be very difficult to get the full effect as an image.

this is so true yes i used a 3 mp camera phone will try to get some with a 12mp camera but also snow reflects so bright that its hard to see the beam shape clearly, best pics will be when its clear again, your eyes can see so much more detail in real life that pics only show you an idea not the full effect
