lol somebody has gone through the trouble of keeping it in a condition like that and the first thing you do is shove a chav valve on it

The car deserves better than that, do it a favour and leave the OE one on

Ohh and BTW totally stunning car, they dont come along very often in that condition, what miles is on it?

I thought the standard valve was leaking thats the only reason i put it on after decating i could hear some weir whistling noises, it does runa bit better with the dump valve on holds more boost, as soon as i can sort out a standard new valve the baileys will be coming off and sold to a chav

good man, TBH the baileys is probably the worst out of all the chav horns though, forge is a pretty good one, Do a search for dump valves on here and you will see the problems they can cause to your engine over time if not mapped to suit

I keep looking at the pictures of the car and still cant believe its 10 years old it looks like its come straight from the factory!! excellent find that one m8

The car has to be seen to be believed, thought i would just post it and let all scoobynet members appreciate it

£2500 sounds cheap for that, looks like an MY00 too?

£2500 was a great price as far as i'm concerned, looking on pistonheads people want silly money for stuff thats done over 100.000 miles and you just think they are hoping.
Wanted one with coded door handles, mirrors and a/c so was well chuffed.
just123's looks fantastic as well and with the PPP. Well Done mate

Has service history but not dealer only the cambelt change was from subaru dealer so that was good enough for me as i will be servicing it myself so just needed to know what had been done. Any issues can be sorted out by my mate that used to work for prodrive building their engines. Looks like we both got desent motors now. just need to sorce a lower sti v6 splitter and I'll be finished

I 'm gonna service my one myself too, Its a real shame though cos it has an 18 dealer stamp history but i cant afford to pay what these dealers have been charging last service was £800 the one before that was about £400 and was only doing 2 - 3k mile between servicing

the weird whistling noises you can hear could well be your turbo whistling, you will be able to hear it now you have decatted

Have to agree with you mate thats why the dealer stamp thing didn't interest me. Just paperwork for the jobs done and services. Have serviced my last 3 impreza's and the hardest job was replacing a leaking rear crank seal. Was very interested in your car but as i said too far away...travelled 200 miles to look at the one I got cos the price was good but needed alot of TLC over a week to get it looking like it does.Think we've done well there.

a bold claim indeed! looks nice, saw it on pistonheads. not a fan of the bump strip along the doors, and needs the skirts colour coding imo. however is a nice example indeed. but i would argue that my old my99 was nicer, and its still in scotland. ill dig out a couple of pics, was one owner, 46k, fssh, dark blue mica, same alloys as yours, upgrades were subtle but effective, hi spec 310mm big brake upgrade, full hayward and scott decat, leda coilovers, quickshift, ecutek mapped by andy forrest, prodrive mudflaps. god i wish i had never sold that car!!!! miss it and still looking for a replacement.
