Dave,
not so sure about the black wheels???
the ones on are rays engineering 8.5x17 and are better than the standard item imho.
If the better half will let me I would like some oz rims or something in the near future..
thanks for the comments

Mark,
the comparison so far is there isn't one.
the scooby was faster after the tsl remap etc etc.
the evo engine sounds very raw indeed.
the interior in the evo is just functional, very bland but the seats are better
it's got apexi exhaust on the evo and hks coilover suspension.
this is a nice base car for me to work on.
the condition and colour sold it for me..
as my wife says most scoobys are blue?????
only time will tell but happy so far....

Absolutely cracking looking car, I recently sold my Scoob and I can feel myself being drawn towards a Evo 7/8. It's funny how Ex-Scoob owners move to an Evo but not many Evo drivers move to a Scoob
Enjoy, and make sure you get the Ralliart stage 1 done ASAP

Well done, mate. Did the same myself five weeks ago, bye bye UK classic on a 'v' for 52 plate VII FQ300. Would have loved a yellow one, but thought there may have been problems shifting it at re-sale time, so opted for Darth Vader black. Don't worry too much about Buckle's, You can park it next to mine
Black wheels.... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 'kin AWFUL (imho)

It's cool
I pass a Mitsubishi dealer most morning, he's got three 53 Evo's sitting there - calling to me! Would if I could afford one.
The Evo is a stunning looking motor mate.

The VII is very nice in the flesh. Like em in Silver and Black. Look large in photos but a lot more compact in real life. Not a fun on the front end of the VIII though.
Saw a Black VIII FQ300 owning a Clio 172 on the way home from work tonight. Was highly amusing.

Andy NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! You had one of the nicest 8's in the north. All that time and £ almost seems wasted now. The Evo looks sweet though, look forward to seeing it sometime. Echo the comments on black wheels, look like steel wheels that have dropped their trims, IMHO. You're not fancying some more OZ 'legs are you? They always suited your 8 so well.

I've just changed from an EVO-6 to an RB5.
It's not worth trying to make an RB5 as quick as an EVO - it will cost you far more money than would every make sense!! And you'd probably have to change the suspension which would spoil one of the cars finest assets.
Just remember that your mate in the EVO faces visists to the petrol station every 150 miles, has to put up with bone crunchingly hard ride over even the smoothest of UK roads, and has a car that from the inside has about as much character as a Toyko mini-cab.

Looks very nice. Not a lover of yellows, but it looks great on yours.
Never been one for huge wheels either, but a size bigger would look the biz too.
