Well, i decided to give home to an unwanted car that has been standing under a big tree for three and a half years. It's owner(the first by the way) bought a Merc and he left it outside his house rotting. the car has 90k miles and i bought it for 150 quid. It has full Audi service history, all the original Audi documents. The owner gave me even the receipt when he bought it new. i know it's nothing special but hopefully it will look like a proper car by May.
I bought a battery(50 quid), and a backbox(110 quid fitted) and i went for MOT two days ago where it passed with the first try(!!!!). So the signs are good. Yesterday i bought the steering wheel, the gearknob, the pedals, the handbrake and the door locks in the pics and fitted them. I would appreciate any suggestions for future work on the car.

What more do you want for £150.........
My mates got a farm down the road,we buy scrappers to race round the fields, that would have been ideal.
My last ride was a £25 Micra lasted 4 ages.

LOL!i didn't say i want more but i am thinking of buying second hand wings from the turbo and having it resprayed. As regarding the fields part, nothing beats a micra, a metro or an old fiesta

I couldn't find one for my version and i went to an exhaust garage and asked them if they had one for my car. The bloke replied : i can either order the right one for your car which will cost 170 quid +VAT +fitting, or i can sell you one i have had in the warehouse for ages, but it is for the Turbo and very loud. the exhaust fit was spot on, but the pipes on the turbo were towards the center so that's why it looks like this.
The best part though its the sound....

I reckon the next step is to give it a good wash and then either T-Cut it or use some colour restorer. That bonnet looks pink. Might just be the pics though. Good start though with the bits you have done. Can't wait to see the next step.

Have you had the tyres checked out properly! I'm sure it's not good to have them stand for so long!
At least it's an excuse to get some bigger wheels!! Although keep the same sort of style, they really suit the car!!
See you at the next Surrey meet!!

More pics from my visit to ASDA yesterday at 3:00am
I was planning today to fit the induction kit, the kill switch and the fog lights but it's TOO cold.

LOL at dude672, it's the only to avoid getting a dent from someone opening his door.
After all it was 3:00 am. there were about a total of 15 cars in a 150 space car park.
seriously, i only parked it that way to make the pics more artistic.

petey, the first thing that struck me when i've driven the car is the flexibility of the engine. i was doing 35 miles on Kingston Hill(going uphill) with 5th gear and 1800 revs and the car was accelerating with no problems. Can't comment on the brakes though despite the fact that the discs and the pads are new, because the brake fluid must be about 5 years old. i have to change it ASAP!!
