Nice unmolested, 'widetrack' Blobeye.

I'm guessing by the Subaru boot badge, it's a UK car (with the single scroll VF35 and no DCCD)?

Thanks mate.got lucky I think. Decent price and I caught him as soon as he put it up for sale.
Completly standard as far as I know which is what I wanted and its in great condition.
Just gonna keep it tidy and enjoy it for the time being.

If I was to sell my STi 5, then that's the car I'd get to replace it, too.

Yup Spot on mate. I was wondering why it didn't have dccd. Thought the wide tracks came with it but I must of been mistaken.

Take it as a positive: easier to control!

Thanks mate ☺
One thing I have noticed though is when its been warmed up and turned of it can take a couple of cranks of the starter to start up? Anyone heard of this issue or am I just being paranoid?

I think chances are its an import from Cyprus / Malta or something as they didnt come with DCCD like the UK cars but everything else is 'uk spec'

Raf
p.s. Nice car by the way..

^^^ There you go, albino - so the UK widetrack DID get DCCD, then. I believe it had DCCD-A, with a 'select and forget' auto setting.

So yeah, as above, I guess yours must be a 'RoW' market widetrack, then?

This^^^, I think a lot of car supermarkets had a load of Malta/Cyprus blobeye WRX and STi's come in and the STi's didnt come with DCCD like the UK cars, pretty sure they come without locking wheel nuts and a cat 1 alarm but with the age of these cars now chances are they could have been added at some point!!!

I had a Cyprus import blobeye when it was 6 months old and mine didnt come with a service booklet either I had to get one from a dealer!!!

Also looks a nice car from the pictures!!!

How did yours compare to the M3, FST and CTR, acceleration-wise?

M3 was just a tad quicker.
The st there was nothing in it as its tuned to Just under 300 bhp roughly and the poor type r was tagging behind us all day lol.
Was a good little drive.
Very impressed with the sti...I'm a happy man haha
This was all from about 40-50mph

My 05 widetrack Maltese import has DCCD but had no cat 1 alarm factory fitted, think the imports weren't under sealed either.

It shows up as a UK car on some insurance websites but I know its from Malta because of the owners handbook and paperwork.
