Sorry to revive the same old questions but . . . .
I'm popping into Halfords at Lunchtime to get some new headlight and sidelight bulbs. Which ones would you suggest I purchase ?
I would like the "blue"/"bloody bright" effect, without melting my holders or reflectors.
Cheers,
Dunk

To be honest mate I'd not bother getting out of the office, point your browser at http://www.powerbulbs.com/ and look for H4 Phillips Vison Plus bulbs, ok, they are not blue, but the are great bulbs, or if you reall want blue then you could get a set of Phillips Blue Vision.
Or just ignore me and go down halfords
or, if you're totally narked off by poor light quailty get a morette quad headlamp conversion.

Dunk,
The bulbs offered by Powerbulbs will be the normal 55/60w bulbs. They are legal and won't melt your headlight looms!
As a side issue I found the blue bulbs less effective at night!
I would recommend the Philips Vision Plus bulbs which give a better spread of light and seem to improve depth perception at night!
The sidelight bulbs you need at W5W. Go for the Philips Blue Vision ones available from http://www.powerbulbs.com
The PIAA ones from http://www.drmotorsport.co.uk are much whiter though.
Up to you which one you plump for!
Hope this helps
Andy

Another vote for the Philips Brillance +50 bulbs. Got mine from Powerbulb.com and thumbs up to them too.
(No connection, etc, just satisfied customer.)
