I've just replaced the oil pressure warning light bulb behind the dash because it wasn't lighting when the ignition was switched on.
It still doesn't light !!! Anyone with any ideas why this might be?
thanks

Take a look here on chairk's website http://www.chiark.com/scooby/gauges_pressure.asp.

Should give you a good indication of where it is. You are looking for the thing that is at the top of the page

Lightbulb

If you are replacing the switch, consider switching (opps, sorry) it for one that lights at a higher pressure. The standard one is next to useless - if it comes on when you are driving then your engine is already fugged, no point in backing off/slowing down etc.

The car is now booked in for a local auto electrician to have a go.

Success ! Three hours of autoelectrician and a break in the printed circuit behind the dash was found to be the cause, Repaired and all works as it should.
