Default SPA Dual Gauges

Looking for something to handle Oil Pressure/Temp. Some people have recommended the SPA Dual Gauge (digital).

Pressure Temperature Oil Gauge DG 201

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Had them for donkeys years on various cars. One fault that was sorted in warranty. Good customer services. Tell tales are good especially signal outs for boost & inlet temp.
Is there something you aren't sure about with them - price? Looks?

Heard some reliability woes. Looking at oil temp/pressure gauge.

Cheers

The early sensors weren't all that but I love mine as they are great value and take up half the space.

My problem was a faulty boost/temp gauge that failed after only five years
It was replace FOC and has gone on for another 3 years.
The oil temp/press gauge has also been fine for 3 years.

I can see sensors failing if they aren't mounted firmly and the Type k air temp cable is too delicate for my liking - but I'd say that the SPAs have been the most robust gauges I've used in 15 years.

Good quality gauges, I have had mine for a few years. Only negative I have found is that the LED backlights fail, well certainly on both of mine......I now have one in Red only and one with none (PS had them about 3 years and 1 sensor failure too)

If its a multi display you are after, these have got to be worth a go:

I have three of the SPA gauges. All three backlights failed which is pretty poor really. All sent back to SPA as and when they failed. The first two they did FOC, the third they did at a cost of £40 which I was not entirely happy about.

I have the temp gauge with the probe in the inlet after the intercooler. With the TMIC this probe melted! Bought another probe and I am also running a FMIC without any problems now.

If I were to do it again I would probably go for the Defi's merely because I was charged for something to be repaired which was clearly defective but unfortunately for me had managed to last outside their warranty period.

HTH.

My experience of Defi's is that whilst they look nice, they are not particularly accurate.

Arrgggghhh so many conflicting arguements. My head is going to explode!

The defi is easy to upgrade with extra sensors...but the SPA is cheaper.

I already have a defi bf (white) boost gauge. 2 bar is enough for me

Sooo, for starters and to keep costs down, looking at Defi Link Display and a Oil temp Sensor.

Thanks all for your help!

Sounds like a common fault then. How long had you owned them for to get them fixed FOC? I wasnt aware they could repair them so may get on contact with SPA, but its been a good few years since they were bought and dont think I have any reciepts

My duff gauge was also down to the backlight. SPA were well aware of the problem when I spoke to them, so I presumed they were getting a lot of returns at the time.
I seem to remember them asking for a number off the gauge to ID it as being part of the faulty batch and said they would replace it FOC.
