help please.
Is this supposed to be illuminated?
If so how do you remove it on an MY99 and how do you replace the bulb - I remember someone posting saying you can replace the bulbs with model shop bulbs.

Thanks in advance

Not much help, but...

I,m pretty sure the switch was iluminated in my 96 I certainly replaced a bulb either in that or the hazard light switch.

All this is from memory, it was a few years back now.

Can't remember how you removed the switch, but think you just pull, then disconnect the wiring (I always tie a bit of string to it in case it decides to slip back down inside the dash).

You need to 'dismantle' the switch - do this carefully! The bulb was held in a little rubber 'holder', but could be removed by un-wraping the wires. (It will become clear when you see it). You then need a replacement bulb - I think mine came from Tandy, will have a look when I get back home at weekend and see if I have a part number.

Hope this is at least some help.

Neil.

From memory somebody mentioned in a previous post that a "Grain of wheat" bulb from a model shop works.

I used a slightly larger bulb (Did not have time to find a model shop) and sort of rammed it in, it works though!!!!.

Hope this helps.

Muddy.

Thanks for the replies.

I will give it a go this weekend. If anyone knows how to remove the switch let me know.

Thanks

SS
