I've recently insured my scood with Privilege. It's a X reg classic 2000 with magnex system and tracker monitor. For myself aged 34 and partner 33 who has a fault claim within last 3 years cost us £580 with protected no claims bonus which I thought was very good.

I'm 36, 2 fault claims in last 3 years (ouch) and had renewal quote from Direct Line for £1977 inc Green Flag, No claims protection & charge for credit, for 1998 WRX STi V5 wagon. Just rang Privilege and they've quoted me £1265 all in (interest free payments - nice). Mods were declared in both cases (induction kit, dump valve, sports exhaust, alloy wheels). Saving of £711 - should just about pay for a decent remap! :-)

I had slightly cheaper quote from A-Plan. I asked for a copy of the t&c to be sent to me by post before paying. It never arrived, when I chased them up I was told we don't send out that sort of thing! Eventually A-Plan sent me a fax with the t&c on. After you have paid extra for instalments by cheque or surcharge for credit card plus your ice/phone gear seems not to be covered I decided to stay with Privilege and know I have £1000 ice cover and know the price quoted is the price I pay. My mate with 02 STI is also with them too.

Andy.
