Default Speaker Upgrade-Simples, Please Read

OK guys not interested in amps or cutting doorcards. I have a kenwood double din satnav ice jobby purchased. What coaxial speakers should I buy for front and rear doors to upgrade the oem stuff? In a blobeye sti do I need spacers for the back doors. Dont mind spending up to approx £50 per pair on speakers.

Any help much appreciated

speakers will sound different in a boxed stand compared to a door or parcel shelf!so going to "listen"to speakers is not going to show you what they will sound like in your car.
for me focal all the way but i would say that i work for a company thats a dealer for them.the ONLY problem with them is there french

JL Audio are very good and pretty reasonably priced. Focal are also great.

Some Rainbows on ebay right now : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rainbow-SL...item2318a6c908

If you can get them for a reasonable price, I think you'll be rather happy.

Rainbows are fantastic but you really need to drive them with an amp - the sensitivity is quite low so they need a bit of oomph to get them going... awesome when they're driven hard mind you.

Nonsense, with all due respect.

They weill ALL be affected by being put into your car, but trust me, if you HATE the sound in Halfords, you are unlikley to love it in your car.

Putting stuff into something like a car is VERY unlikely, in fact probably NEVER going to make it sound BETTER, now is it?

Do as PZR suggests, LISTEN.
NEVER buy speakers or Hi-Fi on someone elses's recommendation.
