Default DEEP, DIRTY BASS!!!

As above i like my bass pretty deep, not that i like everyone out side my car to hear what im playing but do like to feel the bass not just hear it if you get what i mean

Anyway today i sound deaded my car

2 layers on the boot floor and boot lid and 1 layer on the front doors.

Now iv been looking at this sub and amp deal...

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/6426.html

Do you guys think i need to go for something so heavy for what im looking for or does anyone know of some thing a little cheaper that will give me what im after?

What do you maybe think on band pass boxes?

I will be playing R&B and a few dirty south tunes like lil wayne lilpop

Oh by the way i am already running Infinity: Reference 5020cs up front so just need the bass bit now

Please help...

Ash

Ive got a pheonix gold bass amp and a JL audio 12w3 in a sealed box, that kicks out sh1tloads of bass and didnt cost the earth!

My amp has enough power for another sub too, might get another 12w3 and get my mate to build a custom box!

Sub and box was 200 quid

Amp was 400 quid

That was two years ago and it still sounds really deep!

Scoob interior now rattles a bit though, vibrations have loosened it up a bit!

I found the same combo on some uk ice website (cant remember which) for 300 quid without a box and cables (box would be 30 quid and cables about 40!

This set up would be alot better than the kenny stuff!

i was running a jbl gti (12) sub and a precision power (a old scool one) putting out 700 rms

that was fairlt loud

a good thing that will make a lot of difference is the box design.

the cheap ones you get free, and normally not much cop, and you can get a much better sound voloum out of a custom/home made one

Not too clued up on the amp but I can tell you that the sub is excellent. I had a similar kenwood 10" sub running behind the passenger seat of my mr2 and I loved it. The bassline was sweeeeeeeeeet.

And for RnB it delivered the bass notes nicely.

You could save even more and go for this:

Car Audio Direct - JBL Bass Pack 2 - Promo Pack

JBL is good budget stuff. As above though, the box won't be as good as one you could make or have made for you.

ive got an infinity 1400 watt 400rms monoblock amp,and a 10 inch boston acoustics G5 (450 rms), and its mint! removed all boot trim, sound deadened it all, got sub facing rear of the car,and also got amplified infinity kappa fronts and kappa perfect tweeters, and VERY sound deadened doors!and a sony mex r5 dvd head unit which i mite swap for somthing "old skool"

IMHO, u cant go too far with sound deadening! and i have also removed nearly all interior trim, and stuck foam tape between all bits of plastic that touch other plastic or metal and clipped it back. thats what rattles..its the sound of hard brittle plastic on metal mostly.

hope this helps

on a 2003 sti

Far far to cheap! Im not really on a budget escott.

All so i would want a amp that come with remout bass control.

Id say you get what you pay for and only wonting 1 sub i don't mind spending a bit on it to get the most bang per buck

I used to compete and recently had 2 6.5 inch JL audio subs with 55w rms into each. More than enough bass in a compact box. If you build a box make sure it is the correct size and air tight.
