There's a stealth box available for the wagons which is a good option, but you'll need a sub and amp too. All in all that's the best option and it needn't be horrendously expensive.

cheers guys,a few good options there for me to have a look at.

i did look in the boot at some possibilities on fitting a set of speakers there,
the tailgate would be a bit dodgy as it curves too much.

the best place i could come up with was to take out the 2 grilles covering the rear tail lamps and they are perfect ! (ish) for 6x9's ,,,hole already cut ,,,room to fit the speaker magnet in,,,,,but i havent got any speakers to try it out.

just an option maybe???
but ile probably go for the removable unit or get a unit made to fit on the one side of the boot between the rear wheel and tail lamp.
cheers for all the advise, been very helpfull,

roy

In my wagon I've got a Nakamichi CD500 (great headhunit, a bit prone to skipping), a set of Dynaudio 240gt components upfront (superb quality) driven by an ok-ish Sony 2x150WRMS amp sitting under the passenger seat.

The amp's the weakest link - the rest is high-end stuff but I need it as my ears are used to Dyns, NAD amp and Arcam CD!

Sometime I must get round to fitting a sub (the amp can run tri-mode) but at the moment I can't be bothered, especially as the only stealth boxes to fit in a wagon I've found pretty expensive - chiark can you recommend any where to get one cheaply?

I've got a 10" Kenwood sub and amp as per the pic below which tranforms the sound along with high end speakers and is very easy to remove if you need to transport anything

Didn't cost a fortune either
I could've saved a bit by going for an amp for the sub only but i opted for 5 channel amp to run everything
