Dunno if it helps, just looked at the back of the original cd/tape/radio double din thingy that recently came out of my UK supplied MY03 blobeye wrx and it has no RCA pre outs. It has a din cd shuffler connector, the subaru loom connector and a tel. mute lead. Hope that helps.

Seriously if you are planning on an amp, you'd be better upgrading the standard headunit first. It'll save you a lot of hassle in the long run and it'll have all the proper amp connections such as remote (for switching on and off) and RCA outs. You'll notice a huge difference in sound just upgrading the head unit.
