Compact Bass

Compact Bass
I'd like to add some bass to my car (MY00) but can't afford to lose boot space to an enclosed sub. I have an Alpine HU, Infinity components in the front and standard rears.
Having browsed this forum and a few retail sites it seems that the Infinity Basslink is good but is still too big to put anywhere other than the boot. The Kenwood w00x is smaller and might fit under a front seat - has anyone tried this?
Any other suggestions? I'm very happy with the quality of sound at the moment and would just like to boost the bass. The boot is usualy full of pushchairs and the rear seat occupied by a child - I don't really want to blow him into the front seat!!!
Thanks in advance for any help.

Genesis do a set of 6*9 subs...
Also, JL Aduio do 6" subs... those these need enclosures....
check www.caraudiodirect.com for more info

try one of these http://www.mac-audio.de/produkte/pro...ser=17&lang=EN
I think they are amazing for the size and cost.

Thanks for the suggestions. I assume that I will need a separate amp for the 6x9s. Would this be ok under the seat.
I'll have to get the tape measure out to check exactly what will fit under the seat. Are there any issues with mounting this kind of stuff under a seat?
Presumably I should block off the heater outlets but is there any risk of too much heat down there?
I intend to leave the front components powered by the HU only. I know it would be better to amp them but want to keep it as simple as possible. Is this a big mistake?
